The Walking Dead… in Video Games or: How I Learned to Aim for the Head
Hosted by Oliver Surpless
Zombies in video games really became more than just an obstacle in your way with the start of the survival horror genre. Survival Horror is a newer video game genre that saw its start with Alone in the Dark in the early 1990’s. But it was with a little title by Capcom called Biohazard that survival horror first received great acclaim. Zombies were back, baby! And as slow and moaning as they have been since the days of Romero. Biohazard is a series that began as an homage to the zombie B movies of the past. In keeping with the survival traditions of Romero, these zombie games are made to prepare us for a real life zombie apocalypse. There are plenty of useful lessons that can be learned- RE: don’t go to the police station! They’ll be expecting that! This panel is hosted by a video game lover who is far too analytical for his own good. Do you confuse the T for the G or T-G viruses? Why call it Raccoon City? Come on by and find out all this and more!
