Artists' Alley Welcome Page

Welcome to Anime Boston's Artists' Alley 2008. We have quite a few changes this year, both big and small, so please be sure to read through everything. Anime Boston will not be responsible for any complications or problems that arise from a failure to do so.

First let us bid a fond farewell to our co-manager Marc "Snack" Dell'Erba. He had been with the convention since the very first year, excepting only the second year when he resigned in protest of the change of location for the Artists' Alley, not believing it to be in the best interest of our artists.

Farewells are sad, so we wanted to offset that with something happy. Anime Boston is excited to bring back the Art Track - featuring great programming and great artists for you to meet! Visit the Artist Alley to meet our Featured Artists and snag an autograph, a print, or maybe even a commission. Stop by one of our panels and workshops and learn tips from the experts or see what projects they have in the works. Get creative and have fun!

Reminder: All spaces are sold on a first come, first served basis. No artists will be getting preference - you will all sign up at the same time. Do not email us about trying to get in before the online registration date. Thank You.

Your Artists' Alley payment reserves a table for all three days of the convention.

Announcements

  • The Artist Alley Table page and Art Track Bio's are now posted
  • Online Table Reservation will take place at 8pm EST on Saturday, January 12th.
  • The reason that it took so long to announce is that the form that will be used has undergone some slight modifications that are quite important. Please read the *UPDATED INFORMATION* in the FAQ: Section 1.
  • Lastly, I'd like to remind everybody that Artists Alley requires you to show your convention badge when you check in. And if you are planning on doing the Thursday Night Early Setup/Check in, then you are required to have a Pre-Reg.

This is a reminder that registration only takes pre-regged people on thursday night and we cannot make exceptions for the artists alley - this would lead to alot of extra work and possible messups. Any artist not pre-regged will have to wait till friday morning to get their badges so they can check in with the Artists' Alley.

Other changes include:

  • Room Location Change:A little smaller, but possibly easier to find and on the same floor as last year, in the hall between escalators. The 3 rooms will open up to one big one.
  • Price Changes: this is always a balancing act between what we need to charge and what we feel is good for the artists. But we hope this year's price raise will mean we won't have to for some time to come.
  • Web Layout Changes: we have A LOT more information here. It grows every year as you show us what you need to know, and what needs clarification, so we've separated things into actual page sections which will hopefully make it easier to find what you're looking for.
