Collectible Card Games Magic the Gathering CCG- Standard Constructed Friday Night Magic tournament, $5 entry, 4 rounds of play. Two random FNM Prize Cards (March Prize cards TBA) will be awarded randomly, and two will be awarded to the top two players (based on Modified Swiss Standing at the end of 4 rounds), as well as $25 for first place and $15 for second place. Additional prizes may be considered in the case of large number of players. Magic the Gathering CCG- Standard Constructed format, $5 entry, 4 rounds of play. Magic the Gathering CCG- Two Headed Giant Lorwyn/Morningtide Sealed Deck Format. Entry fee is $35. Players will be provided with 1 Lorwyn tournament pack, 2 Lorwyn booster packs and 2 Morningtide booster packs, and teams of 2 players each work together to build two decks out of the product. There will be 40 minutes for deck construction (using modified Swiss Style), followed by four 50-minute rounds. Additional 50-minute rounds will be added if the number of participating teams exceeds 16. Prize support will depend on the number of participants. Magic the Gathering CCG- Continuous 8-man booster drafts as players sign up, depending on the availability of players and judges. $15 entry, two booster packs Lorwyn, plus one booster pack Morningtide. (Classic Battletech) – Bring your own 1:144 or 1:200 scale Gundam models, or use one of our many HCM-Pro figures, and battle to save Earth from total destruction! You've seen your favorite Mobile Suit Gundam pilots take on entire armies of enemy mobile suits and come out on top... but then again, they've never fought *you* before! Come test your skills at Mobile Suit combat using the Classic Battletech rules system. Battle using one of our supply of Mobile Suits, or bring your own 1:144 models or 1:200 figures to ensure you get the Gundam or Zaku of your choice! Star Wars Pocket Models CMG Demos – Come learn how to play Star Wars Pocket Model game by Whiz Kid Games. Demonstrations only take about 15 minutes. Star Wars Pocket Models CMG – Constructed Format. Each player builds a fleet of ships using no more than 30 star points and no more than three of any ship. Each player builds a deck of cards consisting of at least 30 cards with no more than three copies of any one card. Star Wars Pocket Models CMG – Sealed format. Players build fleets of ships and card decks utilizing only the components pulled out of the four booster packs bought at the event. Any mix of boosters is allowed. Warhammer Fantasy/40K Open Gaming – For all of those people who brought their Warhammer armies along to the con, Live Gaming will have many terrain tables available for use whenever the 'Purge of Kayvaen VIII' is not running (all day Friday and parts of Saturday and Sunday). The Purge of Kayvaen VIII (Warhammer 40K) - The terrible forces of Chaos have torn a gash into the fabric of reality itself, pouring into the Kayvaen system in numbers unseen since the 13th Black Crusade. The names of their champions have been whispered through the millennia and keep child and soldier alike awake at night with terror. As each world was crushed under the adamantine boots of the Chaos Space Marines, one managed to send a plea to the greater forces of the Imperium. When the warships of the Ruinous Powers arrived in orbit, they were stunned to find the mighty chapters of the Space Marines supported by their Imperial Guard and Inquisitorial allies had been lying in wait for them, ready to strike. While the battle in high orbit rages, the battle for the surface of Kayvaen VIII has just begun! It is time to command your forces to the heroic defense of a world in dire peril or corrupt it, tearing apart its very core to become a demon world for all eternity. Collateral Damage: The Anime Board Game Demo – While there are several anime-themed card games on the market, Collateral Damage is the only known anime-based board game in existence. In Collateral Damage, you play a Gang Boss trying to take over cities in Neo Japan. Your gang is made up of typical characters from romantic comedy anime, which you move around the board in order to fight your opponents and gain Notoriety. As is typical in romantic comedy anime, your characters might fall in love, and will then ignore your orders to instead follow their love around the board. Whack a Catgirl Card Game Demo – Neko-chan the catgirl is cute. Too cute. There's only one solution...pelt her with plushies! Come and try out Whack a Catgirl, a new card game from Asmadi Games. All are welcome, even catgirls. We promise not to throw things at you. Much. We'll also be demo-ing Asmadi Games' other products, including 'Gold Thief', and 'We Didn't Playtest This at All'. Live-Action Role-playing Games (LARPs) Anime Boston By Night (Minds Eye Theatre: Vampire: The Masquerade) – Boston is torn between three sects of the vampire world: the Giovanni, the Camarilla and the Sabbat. In hopes of avoiding all out war, leaders from each sect have moved to have a meeting. For hopes of neutral ground and to investigate one of the pinnacle topics of the conclave, the site has been chosen: Anime Boston'08. Who will control AB's to come? Come and decide! A sign up and Q&A session will be held in the LARP area on Friday evening, with the game itself kicking off Saturday afternoon. In an interesting twist, the game will draw from anime for its characters, bending the characters into the World of Darkness as vampires. Apparently, Harry McDougal from 'Outlaw Star' is one twisted Malkavian! Table-top Role-playing Games (RPGs) Note: most RPG sessions will repeat once during the con to allow con-goers to work around scheduling conflicts with other events during the con. Also, most RPG sessions are four hour 'adventures', but this year Live Gaming is experimenting with two-hour 'encounter' formats. April 1st, 2075 (Big Eyes, Small Mouth RPG) – It's Prank Day in space on the ISPV-7, and it's the mission of Toy Box and crew to serve it up as good as they get! Love, rockets, and madcap corporate mascots! Up to 5 characters. D&D Game Day, 4 Months Late. If you missed the fun of D&D Game Day last year, or you'd like to take a good-old fashioned spin around the dungeon, here's your chance. Up to 5 characters. Druid's Gambit (D&D 3.5e) - Come to this unique D&D adventure where the players will take on the role of a druid's awakened animals, and try and save the forest from orcs, humans and traveling salesman. Fortune's Folly (new World of Darkness RPG) – The mysterious Black River organization is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. They are above top secret and operate above the law, beyond the government (and any affiliations with the Torchwood Institute in the UK are firmly denied). The team must investigate the strange fluctuations in the Verge that threaten Boston. House of Cards (D&D 3.5e) – Your adventuring group has inherited a house on the very outskirts of Lakeville which has been uninhabited for the last two years. Needing a new base of operations, you arrive to check out your new home. All materials and 7th level pre-generated characters will be supplied. This will be a very challenging adventure; however, no experience is necessary to play. The Jägerkin Squad and the Magnetic Prince: A Girl Genius Adventure (Big Eyes,Small Mouth RPG). In your fruitless search for a Heterodyne heir, you and your team have stumbled onto a plot that could overthrow the Baron!! Or, possibly, just provide a fun diversion involving beating people up! Pronunciation guides will be provided. Up to four characters (and one very good bear). Return of the Enemy Ghost (BESM, 3rd edition) – The girls have returned to the ranch for another summer. Only now an ancient horror has re-awakened at Dawnrazor and only the warrior-maidens can stop it! The Sewers of Redpoint (Sewers of Redpoint indie game.system) – An adventure in a sewer for up to four characters. It's a sewer. Sewers have monsters. Adventurers will have. So. Much. Fun. What Child Is This? (Changeling: the Lost) – The changelings of Greentown, Illinois are offered a weapon to strike at their enemies, the True Fae. But can they trust such an offer from one who was once True Fae himself?
