Video Games

In 2007, the video game room was bigger and better than ever before with longer hours and more surprises. We had all the newest games Japan had to offer at the time plus many classic games from yesteryear. Anime Boston 2008 may change some, but we'll be striving to bring you a video game room that rivals our 2007 room.

We will not have 24 hour video games this year, due to issues with the location of the new room, so please be prepared for that. If the video game room was bigger and better than ever in 2007, how do we improve on it? We summon Noobie Games.

"Noobie Games, a Hybrid Gaming Experience located in the heart of Miami Beach, Florida is bringing its exciting culture in gaming to Anime Boston. Noobie Games, brings Retail, Console and LAN Gaming together in a creative and exciting environment where Anime and Gaming Marry perfectly.

Setting up events all over the country, the professional Staff at Noobie will be bringing 25 HD Panels and Next Gen consoles as well as some of the nostalgic to Anime Boston.

Noobie Games love to run tournaments, and for Anime Boston they will be hosting some of the major tournaments multiple times to make sure the attendees from each day have a chance at the prizes and bragging rights that come with victory. Be sure to visit the Anime Boston forums as the Noobie Games Team answers questions about their equipment, tournaments and the titles that will be available.

Noobie Games, Gaming Evolved."

General Game Room Rules:

These rules are expected to be followed by all attendees at all times. Violation of the rules can result in disqualification from a tournament or banned from the Video Game Room or Convention depending on severity. ANY vandalism or defacing of Convention Hotel, Convention Center, or Video Gaming room property will result in a complete ban from the Convention, prosecuttion to the fullest extent of the law and possible fines.

  1. Please make it a point to maintain proper hygiene.
  2. No outside food or beverages are allowed. Water will be provided by the convention.
  3. Please use common courtesy when playing at game stations. Limit your play time to 10 min if there is a line to play. Also please communicate with others who may be watching and offer them a chance to play. If a seat is not given up NOTIFY A STAFFER IMMEDIATELY. Passive aggressive behavior is NOT going to get you a chance to play that game.
  4. We highly encourage that you bring your own wireless game controllers for Wii, 360, and PS3. Should you need to borrow a controller, one may be obtained by Video Game room staff. To do so, you will need to turn in your convention badge to us. Your badge will be returned upon receipt of the controller.
This rule may be subject to change.

Video Gaming rules, times and tournaments are subject to change and will be posted at the convention.
