Sheraton Boston Code of Conduct for Attendees
Anime Boston 2008 attendees and staff must take the issue of security very seriously to ensure a safe, successful convention. The Sheraton Boston Hotel and Anime Boston Staff have established the following guidelines for conduct:
- We have two primary security concerns: Attendee safety, and hotel property. If you are responsible for any malicious damage to hotel property or endanger your own safety or the safety of any other person at the Sheraton, you and potentially your hotel roommates will immediately be expelled from the hotel and Anime Boston. Each attendee will be held legally and financially responsible for any damage to his or her hotel room. The hotel management may choose to prosecute people who damage property in any way.
- Theft of hotel, attendee, or other hotel guest property is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
- Noise level must be kept to a minimum at all times, and attendees must not disturb other hotel guests. Sheraton policy states that persons causing excessive noise or disturbing other guests will be asked to leave the hotel. The hotel will employ a three strikes policy. Each hotel room will receive two warnings. Upon the third complaint, the hotel reserves the right to eject the person(s) causing excessive noise and Anime Boston will confiscate convention badges and these persons will not be permitted to register for future Anime Boston events.
The above rules supplement those dictated by United States Code, laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and laws and ordinances of the City of Boston, Sheraton policy, and Anime Boston's group policy. Violation of any of the above rules will result in the expulsion of the attendee(s) that violate these rules. Anime Boston attendees are responsible for their actions. The Sheraton has authorized Anime Boston security to excercise appropriate supervision of attendees. Anime Boston security staff will only enter into attendees' rooms when Hotel approved security requests their assistance through a member of the Anime Boston Executive Staff, the Facilities Liaison, Anime Boston Security Managers, or Assistant Security Managers. Anime Boston security staff are not authorized, permitted, or trained to touch or physically search attendees or their property.
